Check out the recording of the Chopin sonata by Steven Isserlis and Diego Varjon. Also has a great Arpeggione sonata on the same record. An unusual performance but worthwhile.

Both beautiful… and the deaths of the Mendelssohns is just so tragic. I read other family died similarly too.

Oh my god, yes! Isn’t it incredible?! So much zal oozing from the page. (And I love that the score was found on what’s essentially a note card! 🤣)

First a new Mozart work, now Chopin … who’s next? Don’t things happen in groups of three? 🤞🏻
