Another post in which the writing is every bit as evocative as the music. I think this time my favourite is Delius - "On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring".
This entire playlist was a perfect soundtrack to my Sunday morning coffee but you absolutely saved the best for last!! Jean Sibelius’ piece is magnificent!!!! It reminds me of Easter Sundays of my youth when the holiday would fall later in the year… a brilliant sun, fresh lilies, no jackets!
Yes! Those Easter Sundays were always a highlight of spring. A brand new outfit to wear, and the sun's rays were warm enough to slightly melt the chocolate bunny in my hand as I devoured it. 💙

Thanks, Michael!
Thank you, Jules — that means so much. 💙 The Delius never fails to make me swoon. So cinematic!

I can practically taste the chocolate bunny ears!!
Beautiful selections. A celebration of spring. Thank you Michael!
Glad you enjoyed, Anne! 💙
Thank you, Michael. 'a hymn to nature's wonder' is a perfect way to describe Sibelius' Spring Song piece.
Thank you, Victoria! I love the way that piece blossoms.💙
